I love New York; it’s a fantastic vibrant city but I’ve got to say that I agree with Simon Kelner in today’s i newspaper that London is now way ahead of NY in terms of artistic inventiveness and public enterprise. Walking around the new Kings Cross basin area shows you what can be done with public spaces and cultural venues and even boring old station concourses. Here’s the thing, for someone who really enjoys working with words, I have a bit of a liking for number sequences as anyone who reads my Pasta Paulie blog will tell you. I’m attracted to unusual patterns and sequences that occur in natural science eg with dates. And today is one of those special days when we experience a sequence that won’t be repeated for decades and decades. For at precisely 10 secs and 9 minutes past 8 o’clock this morning the time and date sequence was 184.108.40.206.12.13. Now isn’t that cool? You can enjoy the rest of today being a special number pattern for free. Don’t say I never give you anything!
